Pray for Tom

This was posted on Thursday, May 12. Somehow it was lost when Blogger decided to go AWOL, along with comments that were published for this and other entries. Somehow they're still in the gmail inbox. Bear with us. Blame it all on Blogger.

Tom is sick.

We took him to the vet.

Excessive shedding of fur because of fungus infection. And laceration, and slow healing (insolent) ulcer, and itchiness. And even ear mites.

So, there are tablets for the next three weeks, and bandage, and cream and liquid medication. He even had his annual injection and deworm. We're all gonna have fun watching Mama and Dad try to feed and apply those on Tom.
Hey Tom...I think red suits you, warrior! Get well soon.
Angelina's Note: Mama said there rest of us would have to "visit" the vet next week! Oooohh...I hate needles and thermometers. It's for our own good, she said. purrr....meow!

Life in Malaysia: Fruits Galore

Blessed with fertile and conducive weather, Malaysia is home to many species of tropical fruits. And, with investments in agricultural research over the years, many species have been improved in terms of yield, taste and texture. I love the fact that fruits that in the past could be found only in certain months (seasonal) can now be found almost all the time. Of course, some of the fruits are imported from neighbouring countries. But I'm not complaining. Just look at what we found at Bukit Gantang Rest and Relax area (North-South Highway).

What's with the no animal sign? Mama was upset with this but then we saw so many felines in the area. So, I'm assuming  that's a No Dog sign. Sorry canines, felines rule here.
Ooooohh....fruits galore. Look at that - durians are in season! So are mangoes, dragonfruits, guavas and rose-apple.
Stop by this stall for some yummy dried agar and durian flavoured dodol (a sticky concoction of glutinous rice floor, sugar and coconut milk).
Aaahh....King of Fruits in all its thorny glory.
More durians....it's hard work to get at the flesh inside the thorny casing.
These humongous citrus - pomelo - has bittersweet sacs, either white or pink.
Rambutans galore - red and furry on the outside, white and sweet inside. Ooohhh...that's what we call pisang emas (golden banana) hanging out at the back, yummmy....
A rambutan tree in the compound. I like the fact that the highway authorities were caring enough to plant the actual tree near the fruit stalls. Mama didn't allow me to climb this tree though.
Imported fruits - longan (left) and kundang....yummy too. Longan is called mata kucing (cats' eyes) locally, I don't know why. Kundang has purple seeds.

Befriending A Posh Stray

Hey! Mind your own business!
Stop following me....
I said, stop following me. I don't want to be your friend.
OK, you're so persistent. We can be friends only if you agree to my terms and conditions.

Angelina's Note: Perseverance pays...at a price. This chap wants tuna delivered to him every morning. purrr....meow!

What's With the Pink???!!!

Nikki volunteered to be my model - pink quilted tote for my pink lappy. Hey! Am a girl!

A closer look....aahhh...that's me riding into the sunset.....in a red car.
Angelina's Note: Just to explain the baby pink theme. Mama bought me the pink quilted lappy tote at a stall near our usual petshop. It comes in several colours - blue, pink, grey, yellow....and of course we have to match with the lappy. purrrr.....meow!

Monday Blues: Wake Up!!!

When we were having a little adventure in Penang a few weeks ago, we stayed at this pawesome hotel at Miami May. It's Miami Bay, Penang, not Miami, Florida or Miami Beach, Gold Coast, OK?

Anyway, Dad made us wake really early to catch the sunrise. So, enjoy the pictures and the song (thank you Aunty YouTube) I've chosen to get you in the mood. It's Norah Jones....

Angelina's Note: Don't you wish waking up to this scenery everyday? Now.... I'm going back to sleep. I'm a cat, I don't go to work. purrrr...meow!
