Last Set of Pictures & Route of Escape

It's been a week since we discovered her missing. Angelina had a busy day on Tuesday, May 17. She had a nip fest in the morning and then Dad gave her special spa treatment after lunch. She wasn't complaining much though we know she hates being wet. She spent the rest of the day with Mama and Dad in the master bedroom, including some nap time in the laundry basket. These are the set of photographs taken of her on that day.

How did she do it?
The only way she could have left the house is through the balcony. It is a dangerous thing to do but Angelina is very adventurous and determined. When we lived in Sydney, we had to put up a hardwood barrier separating our balcony with the next door neighbour as she had a tendency to "visit" them. But she always comes back when called.

The balcony ledge that's easily accessed. We have bought wire mesh and closed off the access on Sunday.
The other side of the balcony. Not difficult for a very experienced and agile feline like Angelina.
She would have jumped onto this area from that ledge. Those doors sealed the utility stuff, they are locked.
The common area that we share with three other units. We are on top floor of five storeys. If Angelina had used those stairs to go down, she could be anywhere.

Wish we have good news to tell but we don't. We have put up posters all over the place, with monetary reward on offer. We've had many phone calls and text messages from people who said they saw Angelina here and there. So far, the cats they described or saw are not Angelina. Now we realise that there are many strays in this area and all tabbies look the same. It's a large area where we live. In the gated compound, there are eight blocks of apartments, outside the gate there's the low cost flats, almost 1,000 units there and also five blocks of shoplots. It's a very high density area. We've also been "told" that she's being kept by someone who likes her. If that is true, we hope Angelina will be returned to us soon.

Nikki

She looks adorable in all the pictures.
Keep looking, don't give up.
You're doing the best.
I'm sure eventually someone will recognize or she will hear a familiar voice and be led home.
Angelina's still in my prayers as well as you,
love,
Brad

Just noticed she's not wearing a collar which would have made her identification easier. Unfortunately tabbies do tend to look similar hence the wrong sightings. Keep looking and good luck.

Ulat-just another tabby.

Angelina is such a gorgeous goodlooking puss. She couldn't be mistaken for a stray, surely?

I really really hope that she is returned soon and so does Austin. He misses her :(((

I am heartbroken, so is Nick.

:-(

We are praying that whoever is keeping Angelina will be convicted by his/her/their conscience and let her go...or that she might escape and find her way back to you sooner than later.

I lost my first dog, Bobby, in 1973. Till today, I miss him.

My heart and prayers go out to you all. Hang on in there...

Hugs and salam

I am sorry to hear about Angelina. Hope one day she will come back to you. Lulu says she will ask her friends to keep an eye out for Angelina.

Dear Nikki,
Azlin, my daughter brought Clyde back from Sacramento on completion of her studies some years ago. I had to arrange for all the formalities of a quarantine at KLIA which I imagine Angelina had to go through too. Being a house cat she felt not much different of the change of location. But she managed to slip through when we were off guard and we had to scour the neighbourhood a no. of times when it happened.
Why I'm recounting this is because
Clyde, a Scottish Fold was a picture image of Angelina, sebiji betul. Was, yes he was but no more now.It brought back the memories.
I hope Angelina will be back!

Oh no! What area do you live in? Have you put up a notice on Petfinder.com.my? Make one and send me the details and I'll post, tweet and facebook.

Keep trying ! I'm trying to think what would I do if I see a cat like Angelina looking lost and hungry. Hmm... I will take her in to provide a temporary home, and I might be worried if I'll let her out to find her way home, she might be lost again and captured by bad people or attacked by crazy dog :( , so hopefully, someone nice is taking good care of her while hoping that angelina's mama will find her way to her door. Don't give up !

Anon - Ulat,
We used to wear collars when we were kittens but as we're all totally indoor felines, there's no need for any. This is the first time that anyone has run away from home. meoww....Nikki

Aunty Carolyn,
Yeah...she would be too clean for a stray but her colouring and markings may look the same as other tabbies. meowww....Nikki

Mama does that all the time. She'll stand at the balcony at midnight and starts calling out. Think she may have spooked some neighbours. meowww....Nikki

Aunty Ellen,
We're not sure if people in our neighbourhood are IT savvy and read Petfinder etc. But we'll try. People at Mama's work have put it up on FB. meowww....Nikki

Tante Sandy,
Mama is heartbroken. She's constantly in tears now. The only thing that keeps her going is the believe that she's still alive and well. Also, Tom is still sick and need constant care. meowww....Nikki

i'm sorry that there still is no good news... :(( is she by any chance microchipped? :/ if someone kept her and take her to the vet and the vet scans it....

i really hope that you get her back soon. :'((

Fae's human,
The data in the microchip would be useless because it's still the old Aussie info in there. meowww....Nikki
