Reminiscence on Friday: The One About My Former Vet

This is what I wrote on January 5, 2007. I was whingeing a lot then.

Been a while since I last wrote. Well, I've been away from the computer. Why? Because my Mama was away in Perth and I had to stay with Dr T. She's a nice enough lady vet but I don't like her so-called boarding house. Must admit that she does spend time playing with me...even her assistants do that. There's this one "Auntie" who loves to rub my stomach. Excuse me, Ma'am...but it's ticklish...
However, although all of us boarders are put in separate cages, we do have to put up with each other like I had with these two dogs who kept barking all the time...they just irritate the %#@* out of me. I hate noisy people, or animals.

Dr T also didn't put any clumping clay in the toilet, she used old newspaper. That's just not my thing. I prefer clay coz I like to bury my poo...So when I'm with Dr T I'll give her a "gift" in the water bowl. Then, she'll complain to my Mama that I did my thing in the water bowl....heheheh...Mama got embarassed, as if I haven't been toilet trained.

Dr T is a vet but she obviously hasn't read Mama's Cat Owner's Manual. Maybe she doesn't know that you're not supposed to put food and toilet next to each other. That's a No-No in the feline toilet etiquette. Sigh...maybe next time I'll do it in the food bowl. See how Dr T reacts....growl...growl...

Hmmm... I thot I nak mengadu my problem to you CAT but, sigh.. I guess all felines in the world suka buat onar kat tempat makan/ minum sendiri. WHY in the world cats like to poo2 dalam tempat makan/minum?? Dah beri kebebasan to poo2 kat specific spots tapi kat tempat makan/minum juga yg dipilih. Patut kena saman sebab melanggar MOU.

Grrrr... *showing off my fangs now* Manusia pun ada fangs okay Angelina?

Aunty CS,
That's why we need to put toilet and food containers far far away from each other. So far, we haven't had that problem at home. purrr....meow!

you're right ! toilet and food bowl should be far apart, besides , newspaper instead of cat sand is crazy ! It's like telling humans to poo under the tree instead of toilet +_+ sigh... Dr T...

Is your current vet better ? :D

Dear Kitties,
My cats use old newspaper on the advice of a cat-mama site because Pixie is prone to UTI and apparently the dust caused by scratching and kicking up clumping/pine/whatever-dusty-stuff litter can aggravate his UTI. We use several large covered litter trays and the cats have gotten used to them.

salam CiS,
one of my cat use old news paper instead of the plastic container too .. if the cat star making loud noise.
i know that the paper is wet ..
makes him feel uneasy.

Poor little Kitty Kat :(

This Dr T, ah, very the susah to say lah! I think your mama should not be embarrassed at all, and just print out a copy of the Cat Guide and anonymously send it to the lovely doctor lah ;)

You feeling much better now? I hope so!

Tante Sandy,
Mama's unhappy with Tom & family's vet so we've been shopping around. One seems promising as we've "tested" him by sending Tom first. purrr....meow!

CO78,
We've tried it at home with shredded newspapers/papers etc but well....some felines are set in their ways. They still want "sand" to bury their poo. purrr....meow!

Uncle ABy,
I guess it could work if there's someone at home all the time so the wet/soiled papers can be changed quickly. But Mama's not a homemaker, neither is Dad. So, I guess it has to be practical on both sides - pets and pawrents. purrr...meow!

Aunty Jul,
It's OK. As long as you're not a cat eater/beater/torturer... purrr....meow!

Aunty Lupie,
Yeah...I was more creative when I was small. Now if I try something like that again my ears will be tweaked. It's not cute anymore....sigh.... purrr...meow!

Aunty Pat,
I'm over it now. You know, cats don't dwell in the past much....as if! har har har *evil laughs*
