It has been an unhappy day at home.
Mama found Brad lying on the kitchen floor at about 11am today.
He was foaming in the mouth and did not protest when he was put in the carrier.
Mama drove as fast as she could to the animal hospital.
The vet checked his vital signs and found that his bladder was swollen.
An emergency procedure was done on Brad to relieve him of his blocked pee.
He had to be put under anaesthetic.
He has gained consciousness now.
But that's not the end of it.
Tests done on his blood reveal more illnesses.
There was blood and crystals in his pee.
We are praying against hope that he's not suffering from renal failure.
Brad is now recuperating at the hospital.
Mama is beyond devastated....

I had this same problem many, many years ago.
My kitty was named Sally and he was getting his urethra blocked frequently, he had many surgeries until I found Low Ash Cat Food.
My problems were then solved.
Do you have low ash cat food in Malaysia?

When Cosmo was blocked 2 years ago, he was in the hospital for 3 nights, with an IV. With prompt and proper treatment, the prognosis is very good. Which vet is Brad at?
We'll say our prayers and send purrs that Brad will make a full recovery.
Alamak banyak penyakit sungguh kucing kucing kesayangan mama lately ni.. Cuaca di Malaysia ke.. Atau simply dah tua kucing kucing ni semua.. ;) saja nak menyakat

Low As Cat Food could be your solution. Do ask your Mama to check it out. Take care kitties and I hope Brad is feeling better.

Oh no, poor Brad. I am so sorry to hear this. I am praying very hard for him to get well. My thoughts are with you...(((big hugs)))
Many years ago when Lp had her first cat he was literally at death's door. She took him to an emergency night clinic and they found crystals in his urine.They operated and afterwards LP changed his food to a low ash count diet with plenty of wet food and the issue resolved itself and never came back. We are hoping and praying that Brad's situation is similar and that he will be alright in the end with the proper diet change! Hugs and love to your Mama.

Kita sama2 doa Brad cepat sembuh, Mama try tukar makanan, Dulu bila kakak Baby sakit, Ma tukar makanan kami. Alhamdullillah skrg ekarang Ma tak kerja Ma masak nasi ikan/ayam rebus, tp kami lg suka ikan rebus Yummy! kekadang je kami makan biskut.
Mama sabar ye..insyaalah Brad akan sembuh.
