Well, weird as weird can be. Tom has a growth on his upper lip that looks like ulcer. As well that he's been scratching himself silly. So there are bald patches on his otherwise glossy bod. And he's been vomiting too, could be due to furball as a result of his excessive scratching and grooming.
Mama said the vet took some samples of his skin to determine the cause. In a previous visit, the vet said it was caused by fleas but now they suspect that it could be some sort of fungus. The vet also took some samples of Tom's blood, to check if he's diabetic - considering his age and body weight.
Hmmm.....I can imagine him trying to hide himself under Mama's arm pit while the vet goes about the business of checking him up. Well, get well soon, Tom. roar! roar! roar!

Help Mama shove that pill inside his mouth! Our breakfasts are late because of him as he needs to eat his pills before meals. Mama and Dad are scratching their heads now. roar! roar! roar!

That's a very good idea. I was about to suggest it to your Mama. When my kitties need to take medicine, I normally crush the pills and put it in a small quantity of yummy stuff, like Fancy Feast Royale, and shut the invalid in a room with the food so the other kitties don't distract him/her or try to steal the food. With super-fussy ones like Shadow, I try masking the smell of meds with a good dollop of NutriSauce ("Turns Ho-Hum into Yum-Yum"). If that still doesn't work, I crush the pills, dilute them with a little bit of water and syringe it into The Stubborn One's mouth!
