Yummi!!!!
Well you learn something new everyday! I had never heard of moon cakes before =^..^=
That's a new one on us! Is there a sun cake?
Uhm...yummy, still contemplating to get a set of them sold at K4. Love lotus paste filling. The other hubby brought back 2 pieces and he finished them all by himself..not nice of him. Yelah puasa puasa ini my saliva more inclined to prey on Malay kuihs however salivating the cake from moon is.
Purr...miao2x

Wow! That's an interesting story about the moon cake. Do they make a nip filled one??
mm the Mid-Autumn Festival are here again.. the lantern festival.
I remembered accompanying my two sisters carrying lanterns on the night of idulfitri in Pulau Duyong.. might as well carry the lantern then.. the electricity only grace the island in the 70's.. The light from lanterns gave the boys enough light to have fun with their equally boisterous friends
Yumm mooncake ! I like the lotus filling too, not so keen on the red bean variety. I didn't know cats love mooncakes too, Kitty the cat doesn't like moon cake, he prefers Jack n Jill potato chips hahaha onion flavour specifically.
Have you tried durian mooncake? The one I tried was super-yummm! I'm sure you'd've liked it, sweety!
omg i want one! D: looks delicious! reminds me vaguely of Japanese "manju"

Tamago-san,
Try asking at your corner Asian grocery shop. The ones we saw in Sydney were imported from Malaysia at very exorbitant prices. purrrr *giggles*
Aunty Marilia,
It is very yummmy. purrrr *giggles*
Kitcaboodles,
Perhaps it's time for another visit? purrr *giggles*
Aunty Caro,
Maybe if we use sunflower seeds paste instead of lotus seed, we may rename it as sun cake then. purrrr *giggles*
Aunty Jul,

Ayoh Wang,
Let's go see if anyone is selling any feline shaped lanterns. purrrr *giggles*
Tante Sandy,
That is one very expensive moon cake. Can buy many kilos of kibbles with the price of this one. Nah...no red bean for us too. purrrr *giggles*
Aunty Pat,
No...we're purists. Only traditional ones. Not even the snow-skinned ones, let alone lulian. purrr *giggles*
Fae's human,
We saw them sold in Sydney, imported from Malaysia. So, who knows, you could get them in Brizzy too. purrrr *giggles*

Hi Cat, I love Mooncakes! But will only go for those with mix nuts, nothing else. Will avoid any with eggs inside.
Holy Smoke! Time sure flies.....Hari raya around the corner.....then X'mas.
So? What is mom going to make for Raya? Dodol? Ketupat, ayam rendang, satay?
You done your shopping?
Credit cards keluar asap? Ha ha.
Have fun.
Lee.
Uncle Lee,
Oh yes. No egg yolks for us. No need for fancy stuff. Just lotus seed paste for us. Dad's plastic money has been smoking. Mama's been buying stuff for the house. purrrr *giggles*
Daddyman's parents are from China so LP knows all about moon cakes. She really likes them but Daddyman does not like them!:P
the critters in The Cottage
Cottage Felines,
Each to his own. Maybe he finds it too sweet. purrrr *giggles*
The 7th month of the Chinese Lunar Calendar isn't even over yet and people have started selling mooncakes and lanterns! It's like selling Christmas decorations in July! Mooncakes are nice to eat only in small quantities. Try to eat more than 5 wedges at one sitting and anyone would find it too sweet and cloying. Okay, I once ate 16 pieces at one sitting and lived to tell the tale!
OMG! Never thought you're mooncake greedy, CO78. Yeah...wait till u see our lantern. purrr *giggles*
