Mama and Dad were in the jungle recently, visiting some villages with the intention of perhaps solving their water woes. Besides the usual site inspection, meeting with locals et cetera, they also took time to assess the surrounding areas. And guess what they found? Some kitties....badly needing medical care as well as TLC I must say....let the pictures do the talking.

Found these tabbies relaxing on the cool cement... |
|
Tabby 1 looks kinda healthy albeit scruffy...perhaps he's never had a bath in his entire life. OK...the village does have water problem.... |
|
Tabby 2...hmm...what can I say...someone should look at that left eye...or whatever is left of it. Looks like a nasty infection. |

Close up....poor kitty!!! |
Angelina's note: I don't know....I feel so helpless. The people in this village are poor, hardly surviving on their small income. I guess their pets' health is not high on their priority list.
purrr....meow!

Oh, those poor, poor kitties... When my peeps were in South America (15 years ago) they felt just like you did about the cats there. They brought one home to Canada. She was already preggers and that's how I ended up with my aunties Primrose, Snowdrop & Blossom! I'm purring for those little kitties your parents saw. They need some help, I think. purrs
That is so sad. It must break your heart :(
This is heart breaking. Are there no funds for antibiotics? Sadly this is the case for cats almost everywhere in the world even in first world countries. All we can ever do is help one cat at a time.
sedapnya udang ketak tu!!
nyum nyum....
Oh no... this is so sad :_(
It's awful and when you see what state orphanages and old folks homes are in too it's really time to despair. Where's the $$$? Too much spent on first class travel for politicos and buying bombs if you ask me. Time to elect me as Mistress of the Universe.
OK, as you can see, I'm back :-)
Hugs to you and the kitties.
So very sad...
Layla is right. As much as we want to change the world, we can only help one kitty at a time.

Life is never fair and too often unjust. Our hearts go out to both the people and cats of this village.May their suffering in the future be lessened.
the critters in The Cottage xo
this just broke my heart. You have to feel so helpless!!!
I have a HUGE favor to ask! Please, please install a "follow by email" button on your blog? If you do I won't miss your updates! I often don't have time to go to my blogroll to read the blogs. Many have added it after I have asked them and now I haven't missed ANY of their blogs! Get rid of the "search this blog" button and put it there!!!! Just sayin.......
xoxoxo
Angelina,
We're arresting Dung-dung in our apartment, because the car park is an open parking area, he could be gone anywhere and if he does so, he'll miss his Veterinarian appointment! And we might lose him forever ! Could you ask your mama , I need her advice, how to make sure he's happy and contented while staying indoor ? At night he meowed super loudly so we will let him out, I accompanied him out and it was so difficult to bring him back in >.<" and dangerous too (I had to climb down to a shop lot's roof ! People thought I wanted to commit suicide . Thank you ^^
Nerissa dear,
On a second visit, the kitties were nowhere to be found. So, we don't know what has happened to them. purrr....meow!
Aunty Caro,
It did. purrr...meow!
Wise Feline,
As we've mentioned before, these are very poor people with hardly any fund for their own children, let alone for the cats. I wonder what those kitties would be eating....kitchen scraps most probably. purrr...meow!
m.q. dear,
Ish! Salah letak komen ni. purrrr....meow!
Tante Sandy,
Show this to Dung Dung so that he realises how lucky he is. I've answered your questions in your blog... purrr...meow!
Aunty E,
Mistress of the Universe, eh? Rival to He-Man??? Yeah...wish we can do a lot more for everyone but then...every little thing helps too. purrr...meow!
Thank you Angelina ! I showed him these pics already and he wanted to scratch the monitor.
Oh no I feel so sad and feel helpless, too. I wish I could reach all of them to help...
