Not at the Shelter!!!!!
Brad says: We've blogged about these plants before - dumb cane or Dieffenbachia. They are poisonous and dangerous to felines. So, what is it doing "decorating" the SPCA premises???? Can someone move them out? har har har *angry laughs*
Brad WE count on you to put those flower pots somewhere else. I am sure you kuat angkat those pots alone sebab you ada 4 tangan, kan? Tapikan, aren't all cats smart?
Hmm... they should plant more cat grass and homegrown catnips eh ? Anyway, I think that's simply because those are the most common plants in the region, probably been there since the 60s, and since no cats have complained, they didn't know. You should call them up, Brad.
Your Royal Monyetness, At first I thought so too but then I saw some other kitties loitering outside, apparently the local ferals who were in the spay and release programme. They could be in danger. har har har *evil laughs*
I've never seen the cats messing about with the plants, and it's not anywhere near the Cattery, but I will let the boys know and we will move the plants elsewhere. Most of the time, we don't even have control over where the plants come from! People bring bits and bobs to donate to our Charity Shop and Jumble Sale and all the unsold potted plants end up in the grassy patch in front of the parking shed! I don't think the vets even know what plants are there in front of their parking space!
CO78, Hmmm....am glad you responded. At first I wasn't too concerned as they are outside the premises and far from the cattery. However, as were leaving, I saw a number of ferals/strays outside. There were food left for them outside. Who knows they suddenly get the urge to munch greens (like some cats I know in this house!) har har har *evil laughs*

perhaps the folks at SPCA are not aware of this ? Or since all the cats at SPCA are in cages, there is no danger ?
